Children First Celebrates 10 years!

On Saturday 20th June, Children First Foundation celebrated ten amazing years of providing hope and smiles to disadvantaged children with a Gala Cocktail Party.

Held at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art at Southbank, guests had the opportunity to view the work of internationally acclaimed artist Tacita Dean, inspect the Children First Wall of Hope & Smiles, be entertained by amazing magicians and hear flautist Ashleigh Robertson.

Chairman, Geoff Hone welcomed guests, Chief Executive Officer Margaret Smith outlined the history and achievements over the last decade and Moira spoke of her passion and commitment to those less fortunate. MC for the night was Shane Healy.

Delicious food was provided by Wise Choice Catering and wine was donated by Shelmerdine Vineyards Hat Wines and Domaine Chandon. Garry Holloway Diamonds donated a beautiful necklace and a number of other prizes made for a spectacular raffle.

The night also paid tribute to the large number of individuals and organisations that have assisted the organisation to develop into the unique Foundation we see today.

Thank you to all the guests, our Committee and other supporters who contributed to making the night such a wonderful success. A special mention to Grant Day James for their fabulous work on the invitations and the Wall of Hope & Smiles and to Clifton Productions, who again kindly donated the staging and lighting.
