Larrikins, Laughter and Lavish Fare
Our annual Gala Event is to be held on Friday 29th August at the recently refurbished St Kilda Town Hall. Come and enjoy a delicious meal and hear some of Melbourne’s best known comedians and sports people debate the topic, “Is Comedy Better Entertainment than Sport?”
The MC for the evening will be well known Melbourne radio personality, Neil Mitchell. Broadcaster and author Tony Wilson and comedian Monty Franklin will be on the comedy panel and former test cricketer and racing identity Simon O’Donnell, retired professional NBL basketball player Mark Bradtke and former Geelong and Kangaroos player Leigh Colbert will comprise the sport panel for the debate.
The fundraising target for the event is to exceed $100,000. All proceeds will go towards our recently launched Australian programs, ‘Between the Gaps’ and ‘gECHO’.
This special evening is the Foundation’s main fundraising event for the year and is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our inspirational work, laugh, be entertained and meet many of the people who are involved in the children’s incredible journeys.
